Wrangell Mountain Air
McCarthy - Wrangell/St.Elias National Park
WRANGELL MOUNTAIN AIR
Wrangell Mountain Air provides daily scheduled flights to McCarthy/Kennicott
(summers only).
These flights depart from Chitina, a small town near the confluence of the Chitina and Copper Rivers at the end of the paved road. Flying east over the Chitina River Valley, you'll see the snow-covered volcanos of the Wrangle Mountains along the north side of the valley, and the craggy peaks of the Chugach Range along the south side. You'll avoid the single-lane un-improved road between Chitina and McCarthy, and save 5-6 hours of bumpy dusty driving.
